Greetings, As most of you know the Fall 2017 Southern Regional Conference (SRC) is being hosted by FL -X at the Club Med - Sandpiper Resort located in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Because this is an “ALL INCLUSIVE” resort we were required to sign a contract stating how many rooms and guests we planned on attending. This contract guarantees that our members will be given the rate of $780.00 per couple for 3 nights and four days and the price of $504.00 for single occupancy.  The contract allows us to adjust the number of guests up until June 1, 2017. After this date, my chapter would be held responsible to pay for any rooms not booked. To avoid this, we will be finalizing the guest list on this date, releasing any rooms not paid for.  Once this happens, our members are NOT guaranteed the same rate as above and may have to pay an increased rate to attend.  We are asking the members that plan on attending to download the registration package from our web site at www.bkflx.com and return it to us by June 1,2017.  If you have any questions you can contact us at infosrcfall2017@bkflx.com. Also, if you are a chapter President attending this conference there is no need to bring a “bottle” for the hospitality room since the bar is open most of the time and drinks are free!  Remember this event is ALL INCLUSIVE so you will NOT have to pay for drinks, food, entertainment etc.  As required, we have reached an agreement with Club Med to allow non-attending members onto the property to attend the Presidents meeting only (Friday Morning). These members will not be able to use the bar or restaurants and MUST leave the property after the meeting.  Please contact us with your name and or the name of your chapter representative that will be attending this meeting so that we can inform the property security staff. Also, please remember to provide a letter to any Non-President stating that they are authorized to represent your chapter at the meeting.  There are numerous hotels in the area that can accommodate our members that want to attend the Presidents meeting only. Unfortunately, my chapter cannot enter into any “special rate” with these hotels.  To find these hotels do a Google search for hotels in the Port Saint Lucie, Florida area. If you are planning to attend this conference as a single, you may want to consider teaming up with another single to share a room.
